Scaling up, Scaling Down

First off, I recently posted a video showing the usefulness of magnetic fittings on my youtube channel here.

The number one goal with anything I make is that it is useful.  And when hard earned dollars are spent on our products it is as humbling as it is exciting.  I'd like to say thanks to everyone who has made a purchase at Magport.net because we couldn't continue without your support.

Onto the blog post: Scaling up, Scaling down

The continuation of Research and Development.... continues.  I've been putting the 3D printer through its paces spitting out print after print of new, small sized units.  We are making scaled-down Magports to fit a wide variety of common vacuum hoses to adapt this system to more tools.

In descending sizes: 4", 2.5", 1.5", and 1".  The 4" Magport dwarfs the red, 3D printed prototypes in the foreground.  One plan for this smaller size is to improve router dust control.      A neat aspect of the Magport system of fittings is that the units are designed to not only fit flex-hose, but are made using the "Standard Specification for Poly(Vinyl Chloride) (PVC)," Schedule 40 system.  This means that the diameters used are the same as the PVC pipe and fittings found in local hardware stores.  Adapting this into your shop is fast and cheap.

Thanks for reading and again, a big thank you to all who are supporting Magport!
